2013 Bowl for Kids Sake! PDF Print E-mail

Join our efforts to change how children grow up.

What is Bowl for Kids' Sake?

Bowl for Kids' Sake is a fun and easy way to help Big Brothers Big Sisters. Whether you bowl or make a donation, you will make a positive, long-lasting impact on children in our community.

It's easy to get started as a bowler!

1. Just go to the Bowl for Kids Sake website

2. Just click the "Register Now" button at the top of the page and tell us a little bit about yourself.

3. Personalize a fundraising page that's been set up just for you.

4. Send out e-mails or fundraise with Facebook and Twitter. Aim high! Most people raise about $150 but Top Fundraisers raise over $10,000. What will you do to help children graduate from high school?

5. Come bowling! After you have secured your sponsorships, it’s time to have fun! Join us at the bowling lanes to celebrate your fundraising success!

Big Brothers Big Sisters works to help broaden children's perspectives and help them learn how to make good choices. Join us! Together, we can start a child on the path to fulfilling their potential, and success in school and life.

Bigs in Blue PDF Print E-mail

T Bar M Resort and Conference Center in New Braunfels was the gracious host of Bigs in Blue in April. The matches got to test their skills on the "High Ropes Course" with the assistance of highly trained T Bar M staff, who agreed to donate their time to come and help the NBPD and Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas. Thanks again to T Bar M for being part of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

P.S. T Bar M is a great location for a staff retreat or a family vacation.

Conga River Ride PDF Print E-mail

Deep in the heart of the rainforest guests discover an ancient river teeming with wild animals, restless natives, thundering waterfalls and a mysterious underground diamond mine.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Comal and Guadalupe County Matches were First to Ride Schlitterbahn’s Congo River Expedition Family-Thrill Ride Adventure over Memorial Day weekend. 25 matches along with 10 auction winners were able to float the Congo for the first time during memorial day weekend.

Special thanks to All Bidders for helping support the BBBS program and matching more children in our community.

“All of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters,” explained Darren Hill, Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort’s general manager. “Schlitterbahn is proud to collaborate with Big Brothers Big Sisters to make the Congo River Expedition opening a special event.”

Thanks to all of those bidders who bought tubes, and especially to Schlitterbahn for being such a HUGE supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters!
