It’s always exciting to share good news, and this is no exception! Throughout the month of August, Krispy Kreme focused on helping Big Brothers Big Sisters. Their staff did a great job asking each and every customer if they’d like to donate $1, $5, round up their order, or simply donate loose change. This year, to help encourage $5 donations, Krispy Kreme offered a free dozen Original Glazed coupon with any $5 donation. At their Bush’s Chicken locations, they offered a BOGO free individual meal with $5 donations. This coupon offer with $5 donations seemed to give customers a reason to donate! We are pleased to announce that Krispy Kreme collected $16,412.53 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas! This is just a little more than a $5K increase over last year! We did have more stores participating this year, and here are store specific totals:
• Krispy Kreme De Zavala = $5,683.43
• Krispy Kreme Sonterra = $2,296.53
• Krispy Kreme City Base = $1,609.05
• Krispy Kreme Laredo = $588.18
• Krispy Kreme McAllen = $1,924.42
• Krispy Kreme Brownsville = $3,039.93
• Bush’s New Braunfels = $1,270.99
Krispy Kreme and Bush’s Chicken locations collected donations throughout the state of Texas which totaled $27,448.89!
"We are excited knowing that you all at Big Brothers Big Sisters will be putting these funds to good use in mentoring and changing lives in our communities. Thank you for all that you do! Thank you also for truly partnering with us – almost all of our markets had a Big Brothers Big Sisters representative attend a Krispy Kreme Family Night!" says Jennifer Willard of Krispy Kreme.
Now it’s time to celebrate with a check presentation! The winning store, Krispy Kreme De Zavala, has bragging rights and will host a check presentation since they collected the most money. The check presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 21st at 11:00AM at Krispy Kreme De Zavala. We invite you to join us!
