About the luncheon

When you were little, do you remember dreaming about what you would be when you grew up? Do you remember the person who helped you realize that dream? Currently, over 3000 children in San Antonio are without the support system to help them realize their potential. At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we believe that each child has the potential to become the next “great”; they just need the right guidance, support, and opportunity to become successful.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Workplace Mentoring program, now in its 5th year, has over 30 partnering companies across San Antonio, giving at-risk children exposure to a workplace culture, career awareness, and in a professional setting.  These are experiences that they would otherwise not have.  When partners support this program, they are not only providing the guidance the students but also a window into a world of new possibilities and opportunities.

Join us in unleashing potential

Like any successful program, funding is needed to sustain the demand and ensure its continuance.  Your support of this year’s workplace luncheon will contribute to the on-going efforts of this on-site, one-to-one mentoring initiative. Most of all, it will give workplace “Littles” the opportunity to dream bigger and reach higher for a post-high school graduation plan and career that may be right there with your company here in San Antonio.

Join us on Thursday, May 23, 2019 as we celebrate the children and companies who make this program possible.
