You can make a difference - we see it every day. Thanks to our volunteers and the generosity of hundreds of individuals and companies, we make a difference in the lives of nearly 1600 children. With your gift, Big Brothers Big Sisters can continue to impact the lives of children in our community.

The impact of our program is real and a national study confirms what we have known - it helps our children. Mentoring develops positive self-esteem, respect for others and it emphasizes the importance of education. Mentoring helps children see the future in a whole new light and helps build a bridge to tomorrow. You can make a difference today. 

Donations
Last year, over 1600 children benefited from the one-to-one relationships provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas through the various programs we sponsor. Volunteers from throughout San Antonio and the surrounding areas are vital to our success.

Equally important are our donors, who make a philanthropic commitment to support the programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters, a 501(c)(3) organization. Foundation and corporate grants, individual contributions, estate and personal property donations, United Way funding and fund-raising events all play a part in funding the essential work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is dependent on the financial support in the communities we serve. Your gift helps the Bigs and Littles of our agency. No matter how large or small, your contribution can make a difference. You can help the children of San Antonio, Kerrville, New Braunfels and Seguin in a variety of ways:

• Contribute Gifts of cash, stocks or bonds to help ensure the continuity of our services.
  

• Make a Planned Gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Alamo Area to help plan for the future of our agency.
  

• Honor a loved one, give a gift in memory of a loved one, or acknowledge a birthday, holiday or special occasion with a gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters. We will notify those who are honored or the families of those who are memorialized.
  

• Be a Sponsor for one of our special events: Bowl for Kids' Sake, Fall Gala/Auction and Holiday Golf Classic. Click on each event to learn more about it.
  

• Donate your car to Cars for Kids' Sake. This is a fast and trouble-free way to donate your car, truck, boat or motorcycle to support kids who need positive role models right here in our community. In addition, you may be eligible for a tax deduction. All you need to do is call 1-800-710-9145 and we'll take care of the rest!
  

• Donate services or supplies such as printing, graphic design, office supplies, etc.
  

• Donate tickets for our matches to use on an outing together.

Giving Opportunities

INDIVIDUAL GIFTS
(ANNUAL FUND GIFTS) 
Monetary contribution by an individual.

EMPLOYEE MATCHING GIFTS
Employees will often "match" the charitable contributions of employees. Ask at your office!

MEMORIAL/TRIBUTE GIFTS
A monetary gift given mainly by individuals to commemorate or celebrate special occasions of friends or loved ones.

PLANNED GIFTS
Includes bequests, life insurance, securities, charitable trusts, gifts for pooled income, endowments, and for estate planning.

CORPORATE GIFTS
Monetary gifts from family and corporate foundations.

FOUNDATION GIFTS
Monetary gifts from family and corporate foundations.

IN-KIND GIFTS
Non-monetary gifts from individuals, businesses, etc. In-Kind gifts include goods and services.

BOWL FOR KIDS' SAKE
Annual Spring Fundraising Event open to the public and corporate groups. A fun-filled weekend of bowling, music fundraising and exciting prizes.

HOLIDAY GOLF CLASSIC
Annual Golf Tournament Fundraising Event held the weekend before Thanksgiving. Open to the public and corporate groups. Ticket price includes green fees, golf cart, lunch, and more.

CARS FOR KIDS' SAKE
Car donations can be made by calling 1-800-710-9145. The car does not have to be running, but we do ask that it include all necessary parts. The title must be in your name.
