In our newest workplace partnership with Texas Utilities Engineering, eighteen children from New Braunfels ISD are matched with employees.
Things have kicked off to a great start. Our monthly visits have included celebrating the holidays, ice breaker games, autograph bingo, and and office photo scavenger hunt.
Every month the Texas Utilities employees look forward to seeing thier Littles, and the Littles love it too!
Nicole Haecker, School Principal, says the kids really benefit from the visits: “These mentors have helped our students realize that there are people outside of school that truly care about their happiness, needs, and wants. The students came back to school talking non-stop about the program and we had students asking us if they could participate, too. The confidence and excitement in many of these student’s demeanor has been pure joy to observe, exactly what these students were in need of!”
