Make an impact that lasts for generations
For many of the children and families we serve, one caring adult can change everything.
You can ensure that impact continues—long into the future.
A legacy gift is a simple and meaningful way to support our mission beyond your lifetime. It allows you to invest in the next generation and help create a stronger, more connected community for years to come.
You Don’t Have to Be Wealthy to Make a Difference
Many legacy gifts are made by everyday supporters-people who simply believe in this work.
If you have:
- Supported our mission over time
- Volunteered or Mentored
- Seen the impact firsthand
Then you are already part of our story-and you can be part of our future.
The Simplest Way to Give
The most common way to leave a legacy gift is through your will or trust.
You can include a gift of:
- A specific dollar amount
- A percentage of your estate
- The remainder of your estate after other gifts are made
Sample language:
“I give % of my estate (or $) to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, a nonprofit organization located in San Antonio, TX, EIN # 74-1897630, to be used in support of its mission.”
Other Ways to Give
You can also support our future by naming Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas as a beneficiary of:
- A retirement account (IRA, 401(k), etc.)
- A life insurance policy
- A bank or investment account
These options are often easy to set up and may have tax benefits.
