Planting the seed of entrepreneurship.
Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand.
By participating in this program, the kids Big Brothers Big Sisters will learn life skills such as responsibility, business skills, financial literacy, goal setting, and teamwork. But these skills will go beyond the Lemonade Day. It will help with developmental skills including Planning and Decision Making (young person knows how to plan ahead and make choices), and Positive View of Personal Future (young person is optimistic about her or his future), just two of the 40 Developmental Assets we work with children on to help them grow up to become healthy, caring, and responsible individuals.
Help us reach sweet success!
Our kids have a goal of raising $600. Come out to support their small business on May 11 and purchase a refreshment or two! All proceeds from this event will support our mission of one-to-one mentoring for at-risk youth throughout the year.
