Serving Kerr and Kendall Counties

The Big Brothers Big Sisters presence in Kerr County began in 1996, when a committed group of local volunteers formed an advisory board and worked in partnership with the San Antonio affiliate to establish a branch in accordance with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America guidelines. What started as a grassroots effort quickly grew into a trusted community resource, connecting caring adult mentors with young people in need of support and guidance. Over the years, the Kerr County branch has served hundreds—if not thousands—of youth, helping them build confidence, achieve academic success, and develop strong relationships. Its impact has continued to expand beyond Kerr County, now also reaching youth in neighboring Kendall County and strengthening communities across the region.
