Be sure to submit your summer reading logs to Kara at kwiller@bigmentor.org in order to be included in this year’s drawing. Winners of the summer reading challenge will be announced on 8/12 at 12pm on our Facebook Live. Winners will also be notified by Kara by phone or email.

About Lightning the Future Summer Reading Challenge
The Lighting the Future Summer Reading Challenge is about the wonder, inspiration, and possibility books bring to readers. Just like the marvel you get from catching lightning bugs in a jar on a long summer’s night, a great book can ignite a spark from within, illuminating a child’s imagination. Through our summer reading challenge, we hope to encourage children to unleash their full potential with the knowledge and enjoyment gained by reading for pleasure, leading them towards a path to a brighter future.
The summer reading challenge is designed to engage children in 30 minutes of reading each day for 10 weeks for a total of 2000 minutes. Participants who complete the challenge will be entered into a chance to win awesome prizes!
